Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Vayyar Facility Scanner iOS app (“the App”) handles information when you scan facilities and sync with Vayyar cloud services. Replace contact details and hosting organization below before publishing.

Who this applies to

The App is intended for authorized Vayyar customers and field operators who capture facility and suite scans as part of a professional workflow.

Information we process

• Account credentials — username and password you enter to sign in to your Vayyar account. Access tokens are stored securely on device (Keychain).
• Scan content — 3D maps, meshes, RoomPlan layouts, markers, snapshots, and related scan metadata you create or open in the App.
• Optional location — if you enable GPS in Mapping settings, location may be stored with scan data.
• Bluetooth session beacon — when enabled, the App may advertise a short-range beacon so nearby in-room devices can detect an active scan session. This is not used for advertising tracking.
• Device permissions — camera (and LiDAR where available) for scanning; Bluetooth and location only for the features above.

How we use information

• Authenticate you to Vayyar Facility Scanner APIs.
• Sync facility catalogs and upload or download scan packages you choose to transfer.
• Provide on-device scanning, visualization, measuring, and export features.
• Optional cloud mesh processing when you enable that setting.

Sharing

Scan and account data are sent to Vayyar Facility Scanner backends you are configured to use (for example production or sandbox hosts selected in Settings). We do not sell personal information. Service providers that process data on Vayyar’s behalf (if any) do so under contractual obligations.

Retention

Data retained on device remains until you delete scans or remove the App. Cloud retention follows your organization’s Vayyar Facility Scanner account and backend policies.

Your choices

• You can use local scanning features without signing in; cloud sync requires an account.
• You can deny or revoke camera, location, and Bluetooth permissions in iOS Settings (some features will not work).
• You can sign out from the Facilities screen gear menu.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13.
